Pınar, as Turkey's leading and pioneering food brand, joined Gulfood Fair between 8-12 February in the United Arab Emirates which is the world's largest food fair. Pınar that is known for its own special products in Gulf and Middle East countries, was greeted by intense interest in Gulfood Fair.
The fair promoted the company’s products. And it was attended by 4000 companies from 170 countries. It was visited by approximately 80 000 people. In that fair, Pınar’s stand welcomed the visitors from the Gulf and Middle East countries as well as from many another countries all over the world. During the fair, there were different recipes prepared for the visitors.
“Pınar is the first brand that has got export permit to the European Union and it is also among the first 3 brands of Turkey that had approval for Russian market”. That is expressed by Yaşar Holding’s CEO Mehmet Aktaş. Mr. Aktaş told about great interest which was shown for Pınar’s products in Gulfood Fair:
"The food and beverage industry is a strategic sector for the whole world. That is also the same for Turkey’s economic growth. As the surrounding countries are food importers and they show growing interest and confidence in Turkish brands, offers a potential for it to become a regional producing center for food. We export our diverse products to more than 40 countries. The Gulf countries to where we export since 30 years, have a special place in our presence. There is a strong competition in Gulf countries, because they have powerful executives and there are imported goods from EU and USA. But we offer products for the needs of regional people and their tastes according to wide range consumer researches . We are developing new and different packages.”
Mr. Aktaş spoke also about the products which is offered for Gulf and Middle East countries. Aktaş underlined that Pınar Labne, Breakfast Cream and some other products with zatar were specially developed in accordance with consumers’ tastes and use habits.Pınar Labne with its special taste and temper offered to consumers, is the leader in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Dubai. It is at the top with a share of 26 percent in Saudi Arabia, 53 percent in Kuwait and 41 percent in Dubai.
